veterans assembly

On Friday, November 8th, students, and staff gathered for a Veterans Day assembly honoring the service and dedication of veterans in our community. The ceremony included inspiring words from students and veterans alike, fostering a deep appreciation for the significance of Veterans Day.

The assembly opened with a special reading by Tyler Tremblay, a 5th grader, who shared a passage describing the meaning and importance of Veterans Day and the sacrifices made by those in the armed forces. Tyler’s reading reminded everyone why we come together each year to honor our veterans.

Local veterans Mark Landry, Brian Lessard, and Chris Millette each shared stories from their time in service and reflecting on what being a veteran means to them. Their accounts provided students with personal insights into the life of a service member and the value of dedication, resilience, and patriotism.

The entire school joined together to sing “Thank You, Veterans,” as well as “The Star-Spangled Banner.” This shared moment allowed everyone to express their gratitude through song.

At the close of the ceremony, students were given the opportunity to personally thank each veteran, shaking hands and expressing their appreciation. This gesture allowed students to connect directly with the veterans, making the experience memorable for all.
